The last race on the calendar for our Women’s program, the six-day Simac Ladies Tour presents varied opportunities from the opening TT through to the final more testing stages in the hills.
A punchy local lap will no doubt see lots of attacks as the puncheurs and climbers try to distance those with a fast finish. Expect some exciting and often tactical racing as the day heads towards its close.
Taking part in the race for the first time last year, our Women’s program can expect to see plenty of attacks over the punchy circuit in Varese as teams look to take advantage of the rolling terrain.
A route that always changes every season, this year sees the most challenging climb of the day crest at 60 kilometres to go; setting up a battle between the attackers and those looking for a reduced sprint.
The final Monument of the season, Il Lombardia, otherwise known as the "Race of the Falling Leaves", takes on a beautiful yet hilly parcours in the Lombardy region of Italy, with a finish in Como.
