Team dsm-firmenich PostNL coach Phil West: “One of the traditional early-season French races, we’re looking forward to taking on Classic Var in its new guise as a single day event. On the mixed parcours we can anticipate an aggressive race, building throughout the race before the finish atop of Mont Faron where we hope to play out a competitive final with Chris, Romain [Bardet] and Kevin as our finishing options. Romain has previously had success on this climb too and we hope to be in the hunt for a good result again in Classic Var with some good teamwork.”
