Team dsm-firmenich PostNL coach Pim Ligthart: “Two days after Tre Valle Varesine, it is time for Piemonte, where we will line up with almost the same team. The only change is Frank, who will come in to give Warren some extra rest ahead of Il Lombardia on Saturday. Gran Piemonte is a race divided into two parts: the first 110 kilometres are flat, and the last 70 kilometres feature a long climb where the race will heat up and I expect an open finale. We need to be prepared for a variety of scenarios and aim to have numbers in front after the long climb. When we have those numbers at the front, then we can play the game in the final stretch.”
