Team dsm-firmenich PostNL coach Joey van Rhee: “The ZLM Tour is a typical Dutch stage race where the wind can have a big impact and cause chaos. The race begins with a 14 kilometre long time trial, where everyone in the team will go full gas; the same as we did last year when we had nice results here. The rest of the stages are all flat and don’t have many obstacles besides the open fields which can favour echelons if the conditions are right. With Casper at the start, we will take every opportunity to go for the sprints with him as our finisher. We can take confidence from the last weeks, especially from our performance in Köln. We also have Benjamin, Oliver and Frank from our Development program racing, so for them it will be a nice week where they can learn from the older guys.”
