The Deutschland Tour got underway on Wednesday afternoon with a short but fast prologue through the streets of Schweinfurt. Team dsm-firmenich PostNL set down the ramp in 20 minute intervals with each rider giving it their all around the course. In the end it would be Sean Flynn who would set the team’s best time of the day, stopping the clock in three minutes and 25 seconds.
Speaking after the prologue Flynn said: “I’m happy with my effort today in the short sharp prologue here in Germany. I left it all out there and I’m fairly satisfied with a top 20 in a TT like this against some strong competition. A nice opener for the days ahead.”
