Team DSM are happy to announce they have entered into an agreement with top-quality amateur club Dutch Food Valley Cycling Team, expanding their racing calendar and coming together to take on the U23 Road Series throughout the Netherlands and Belgium with their Development program. The cooperation will see four riders from Development Team DSM and two riders from the Dutch Food Valley Cycling Team come together to take on the ten races during the season.
Team DSM head coach Rudi Kemna explained: “We’re excited to enter this agreement with a great club and allow our knowledge to filter down and help the development of grassroots cycling in the area. The joint venture will mean that those from the Dutch Food Valley Cycling Team can gain what we hope is valuable experience of working alongside our riders and staff whilst also creating an opportunity for our Development program to take on some additional tough one-day racing. We’re looking forward to getting started and taking on our first races together.”
Dutch Food Valley Cycling Team team manager René Bastiaansen added: “This collaboration between us and Team DSM’s Development program is a great opportunity for our riders to experience racing at a higher level and alongside some big talents. We’re looking forward to learning as much as possible from how Team DSM works, which should help our team grow too, and we’re excited to come together for our first race later in the month.”
