For the second time this week, a battle against the clock was on the menu for Team dsm-firmenich PostNL at the Tour de Romandie. All riders came through the day in a good way, with Gijs Leemreize setting the best time within the team.
Speaking after the stage Leemreize said: “Today’s TT was on a really nice, but hard course. The first part was uphill. There I wanted to push a bit more and that felt quite good, but over the top, I didn’t have so much left to get on to speed again on the flat parts. I tried to recover a bit in the first downhill and after that I went full to the finish. The result was about the same as in my previous time trials, so I think this is about my place at the moment. Now back to the mountains tomorrow.”
